Virtual Wards
"Bar Code Data Healthcare Solutions are embracing technological advancements and innovation in Healthcare to improve access, convenience, and personalised care"
Our mission is to vastly improve the health and well-being of our users and enable them to receive the care they need in the comfort of their homes.
Cyril has been designed to provide Holistic patient care an approach that considers the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of a patient
Our Virtual Wards Solution supports patients, who would otherwise be in hospital, to receive the acute care, remote monitoring and treatment they need in their home or usual residence.
Virtual wards provide acute clinical care at home for a short duration as an alternative to care in a hospital.
Our Client's Patients admitted to a virtual ward have their care reviewed daily by a consultant practitioner via a digital platform that allows for the remote monitoring of a patient’s condition and escalation to a multidisciplinary team.

Bed Management
Our bed management application enables hospitals to manage and optimise their bed capacity, providing real-time information about the availability of beds, allowing staff to efficiently allocate resources and streamline patient flow.
The software provides up-to-date information on the availability of beds, helping staff to quickly identify and assign appropriate beds for incoming patients, reducing wait times and improving patient flow.
By analysing historical data and trends, our software can help forecast and plan for future bed needs, enabling proactive resource allocation, and capacity management, reducing the likelihood of overcrowding while supporting improving patient care, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
Falls Prevention Monitoring
Falls and fall-related injuries are a major global public health burden, leading to loss of independence, disability, and psychological distress. The World Health Organisation ranks fall-related injuries as the third leading cause of ‘years lived with disability’.
Falls Assessment Tool
Cyril’s artificial intelligence algorithms can detect if a patient has fallen and trigger an alert to the Care Giver. Utilising combined PIR Sensors, the application can determine the patient’s location and if the patient is at risk.
The application detects if the patient has become restless and is at risk of a fall, Cyril incorporates the STRATIFY falls assessment to determine the risk score.
Holistic Patient Monitoring
Cyril has been designed in collaboration with NHS colleagues, utilising smart sensor technology to transmit data to clinicians in real-time. It has been built within AWS, utilising the health analytics platform to model outcomes data to provide a more granular and useful patient insight. This is then coupled with generative AI for data, to self-propagate the information, adopting a simplicity principle to define NextGen care.
Data is collected using a combination of discreet sensors placed throughout the client’s home, usual place of residence or hospital room, a wearable device’ worn around the wrist or attached to the client as a fob, door sensors, a router gateway, IOT cup and jug and any other telehealth devices required e.g. oximetry, glucometer etc. Information is provided in real time allowing intervention as required.
These smart sensors monitor the following:
- Activity
- Location
- Hydration
- Bathroom frequency
- Vital Signs
